Average follower change per fiction, bucketed by rank. Higher-ranked fictions historically gain more followers in absolute terms; lower tiers often grow faster in percentage terms.
Competitive thresholds
What it takes to break into the top X. Each fiction counts at most once per threshold: the snapshot when it first arrived in the [X−5, X] band. A fiction that jumps clean past the band is captured on its way back down instead (~6% of Top 50 entries); the medians barely notice.

How many days does it take a fiction to reach its best rank after first appearing on Rising Stars?

Rank trajectory by peak tier
Average rank across a fiction's RS lifecycle, with day 0 being the fiction's first appearance. Each point averages the fictions from that peak tier still on the list that day — later days describe the longer-lived survivors, not the whole cohort.
Decline phase by peak tier
Once a fiction slips at least 5 ranks below its peak and doesn't recover, how many more days of on-list time does it accumulate before leaving for good? Re-entries count their extra on-list days.
